Live performance, narrative film, panel discussion
How do you take a music-first approach to filmmaking? Join one of Australia’s most innovative classical music groups anon. for a multi-sensory experience in three parts - listen, watch, talk.
Part I: Listen
Unleash your imagination and experience the intensity of a live piano trio, with anon. performing ‘Trailer Music II’. This new work by Australian composer Nicholas Buc draws on film music techniques to create a visually evocative piece.
Part II: Watch
Experience Trailer Music II: The Film - a 17-minute short film by five Australian filmmakers, created as a visual response to composer Nicholas Buc’s ‘Trailer Music II’. Underpinned by a recurring musical motif, each scene is an exploration of individual perspective and interpretation - highlighting the power of music in driving storytelling and imagination.
Part III: Talk
Learn and be part of the panel discussion, as anon. musicians and filmmakers share the highlights, challenges and new discoveries behind a music-led filmmaking process.
