One Night the Moon

In what is an utterly unique work of Australian cinema, Rachel Perkins' 60 minute featurette is a musical marvel.

With a cracking cast including festival guest Kelton Pell, Paul Kelly, Memphis Kelly, Kaarin Fairfax, Ruby Hunter, Chris Haywood and David Field, One Night the Moon tells the story of a young girl who one night goes missing in the Australian outback and the biases that lead all participants down a road on which no one wants to travel. Told through music with a myriad of glorious voices, this lovely film presents something very special to audiences in a form rarely seen in contemporary cinema.

We love it - and we hope you do too.

If you're in Melbourne, don't forget you can experience the film in person with it's star Kelton Pell, hosted by the ever fascinating Uncle Jack Charles on Sunday June 5th and St Kilda's legendary Esplanade Hotel.
