Presented by the Australian Writers Guild.

As well as being an artform in their own right, showing off your short film skills can often be a pathway to bigger things – whether it’s creating awareness around important social issues, acting as a proof of concept for longer-form content, or demonstrating just how ingenious you can be with your storytelling skills.

Join the AWG’s Marisa Brown, producer of zombie kangaroo short film / feature film prequel ‘Waterborne’ (opening night of SKFF2015) as she chats with Daniel Knight about ‘Troll Bridge’ (SKFF2019), an epic short film (and adaptation of a Terry Pratchett story)  fifteen years in the making, Amie Batalibasi, whose incredible short film ‘Blackbird’ (SKFF2017) is being developed into a feature film with the support of a Sundance Fellowship; and Greta Nash, who won last year’s Tropfest (with the funny and touching ‘Two Piece’), as well as screening at SKFF2018 with ‘Locker Room’.
