ONLINE | AUSTRALIA'S TOP 100: Suburban Keyholes

Since the 1970's Australian cinema has had a beautiful relationship with suburbia, as seen through the eyes of Don and his party, Muriel and her wedding, Frankie J and his FJ Holden, and too many more to name. From gritty family relationships, to hyper-stylised settings and magical realism, these works paint a picture of competing, compelling and conflicting environments and emotions, and sometimes tender self-reflection.
