Hold your horses, batten down the hatches and get your ducks in a row, because here comes the St Kilda Film Festival's famous opening night! Drawn from a call for entries from hundreds of new short films from around the country, this year's opening selection goes right for the senses in the sweetest of tasting plates that features dynamic drama, a dash of horror, a sprinkle of comedy and beautiful animation and poetic documentary. It is a cracker-jack way to kick off 10-days of online and in the real world cinematic delights with filmmakers and guests from around the country and some of the best short form works you'll see in the flesh for many awhile.

Doors open at 6:30pm, screening commences shortly after 7:00pm, and make sure to stick around for the raging afterparty. It will be taking place right after the screening in the auditorium, foyer, and upstairs area of the Astor, and everyone with a ticket is invited!
