Brave New Worlds – Part 3

The third session of our celebration of high-risk filmmaking features some of the most daring shorts in the entire program!

These films go right out on a limb by exploring new narrative styles, subverting storytelling standards and incorporating a collage of forms across animation, dance, First Nations storytelling, super 8 and experimental diary. In short: each of these is always invigorating, never predictable.

Session followed by a filmmaker Q&A.

Tony Soprano Band is the Improvised musical project of Dan Rock. The band has constantly rotating members and focuses heavily on performing improvised compositions curated by individual taste of each member. No set is ever exactly the same, in this edition, Dan is joined by Joe Orton on Guitar and Hudson Whitlock on drums for a special soul/ funk edition of Tony Soprano Band.
