The State of Animation

We all love animation, right? It surrounds us every day from animated cut scenes in computer games, to internationally loves works from Studio Ghibli and the huge volume of experimental work which constitute an enormous annual creative outcomes.

Meet with some of the artists who have had a major influence on the Australian and international animation sector and hear their perspective on where animation is headed and what opportunities exist for newcomers to the form.

In this session you'll hear from Oscar winning animator and Festival guest Joan Gratz (USA), and local heroes made good Dennis Tupicoff and Malcolm Turner, Director of the Melbourne International Animation Festival.
