Yamamba

Yamamba explores the connection between ancient myths and modern identity, drawing parallels between the mythical figure of the Yamamba (the wild mountain witch) and contemporary women in Tokyo who challenge societal norms.

We follow Ordinary Woman as she transforms through the adversity of loneliness and kodokushi (lonely death) into the Yamamba...powerful and omnipotent.
