Volunteer with St Kilda Film Festival

The St Kilda Film Festival is excited to be looking for new volunteers for this year’s season!

Come and join the festival fun! Whether you’re a passionate film buff, a devoted Film Festival 'die‑hard', or simply keen to gain hands‑on experience in film festival and events support, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.

 

Why Volunteer?

Volunteers can expect to gain experience across: 

  • Venue operations and ticketing management Ushering and cinema duties
  • Distribution and collection of market research
  • Event and production assistance across special events, including Opening Night and Closing Night Assisting with the filmmaker professional development program
  • Distribution and collection of audience voting
  • Assisting audiences with questions and directions

Who Can Apply?

The St Kilda Film Festival encourages applications from individuals with experience in, or a strong interest in, film, events, and arts programming. Although, prior experience is not required to volunteer with the St Kilda Film Festival. We welcome applicants from all backgrounds. 

All applicants must be over 18 and will be required to hold a current Working With Children Check for the duration of their engagement. 

What Is the Process?

Applications will close at 11:59 pm on 10 May 2026.

Successful applicants will be contacted from 11 May 2026 and will be required to participate in a short phone interview before volunteer positions are confirmed.
